HOSPITAL MAIN KITCHEN
A leading NYC hospital’s ground level main kitchen was damaged by flooding following Super Storm Sandy in October 2012.
As a result, the kitchen had to be completely gutted of all equipment and finishes. JLGA worked closely with the hospital to provide a new 10,000 sq. ft. food service facility. The scope included all new equipment and finishes for bulk production, tray assembly, walk in coolers and freezers, pot wash and dish/cart wash.
The renovation of the diet office, chefs’ offices, and the food service administration offices were also included in the project. The new kitchen features an efficient, open layout with hoods and fire suppression systems designed to current NYC code standards.
